Nice podcast. I have encouraged clients to backup, but I haven’t thought about testing backups. Thanks for the suggestion.
I read on another blog today that there is a problem with the R4 release in the 2011 edition when doing a backup with the verify data. Evidently it doesn’t occur everytime, but when it does you have to rebuild, but it doesn’t necessarily fix the problem. I haven’t run accross the problem yet.

Thanks for your comment. I read about the problem with the R4 release also — be interesting to see how widespread it is. I don’t think I’ve spoken to anyone yet who has reported it yet for data repair. Perhaps we’ll be seeing an R5 release pretty soon to address that.
